Naomi had her five-year-plan set in motion until her life imploded and she ended up in small town Knockemout, Virginia, jobless and saddled with a niece she never knew existed. Struggling to make her way in a town where everyone thinks she's her awful twin sister, Naomi - people-pleaser to a fault - is going to have to decide between patching up her old plans or forging a new path.
Grumpy local bad boy, Knox Morgan, can't wait for her to figure it out and move on. In fact, he's more than happy to help get her out of his hair, until real danger comes along and tests his no-attachments lifestyle.
This was a refreshing take on the typical grumpy versus sunshine romance trope! With lots of amazing side characters, you really feel like you're part of this quirky, small town community. The thriller element really added to the story and made it feel well-rounded and exciting.
I highly recommend Things We Never Got Over, especially before the sequel releases this April!
