“The Lowe Job,” by Grave Alexander, is a sexy, contemporary book rife with scandal and humor that pulls readers right in. Think of it as a blending together of Monica Lewinsky’s story and “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

The story begins with Lili Lowe, the oldest of four sisters, becoming the center of a media storm when she is photographed giving Teddy Landen, a married member of Parliament, oral sex in his car.

As the scandal erupts, threatening to ruin Lili’s career and life, her mother Lydia Lowe steps in and uses the scandal to capitalize on the publicity. Lydia, a widow, is a clever matriarch who was once a callous talent agent. Lydia exploits the scandal for all it’s worth, making it the subject of talk shows, endorsement deals and even a reality show, “The Lowe Job.”

Being at the center of the media storm doesn’t muffle the Lowes. They hold nothing back and like it or not their names become the subject of office and household gossip, their private lives becoming everyone’s business.

The Lowes each handle the new found, but not always welcomed fame differently.
