Read "Baking Your Way Through the Holidays" and see the author in action. 'Tis the season to be baking, and Benedictine monk and PBS host Father Dominic Garramone will share his recipes in a virtual presentation this Thursday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. The program is being sponsored by the Friends of the Washington Public Library and Neighborhood Reads Bookstore.
Father Dom will present recipes for three holidays favorites, Hanukkah Jelly Donuts, Fruited Sweet Potato Bread for Kwanzaa and a braided sweet bread centerpiece for Christmas buffets that doubles as a dessert.
The Bread Monk has collected his favorite holiday recipes in "Baking Your Way Through the Holidays." Each recipe comes with Father Dom's customary clear instructions, serving suggestions and heartwarming stories to inspire your holiday baking.
